Residential Projects

Alma Road (2019)

Tucked behind a quiet London street, this former stable block had long been forgotten — a one-bedroom mews house with dated interiors, broken flooring, and cramped proportions. The Stable Block was our opportunity to show what great design can achieve in even the most overlooked spaces.

We reimagined the entire property — reconfiguring the layout, flipping the staircase, and adding a second bedroom — all while enhancing natural light and the overall sense of space. The final result is a bold yet calming sanctuary that merges Japandi minimalism with modern elegance.

Key Features:

  • Handcrafted oak and glass staircase, repositioned for optimal space

  • Matte black kitchen with fluted oak panelling and integrated lighting

  • Skylit living area with bespoke joinery and oversized glazing

  • Serene bathroom with brushed brass fixtures and a sculptural stone freestanding bath

  • Compact yet well-designed courtyard with cedar screening and artificial grass for easy outdoor living
